Sometimes all you need is a helping hand to bring you out of the shadows of your past to a brighter present and to form a beautiful future.
Jasmita Roy
Welcome!
We all go through periods of time in our lives when we could use a helping hand. Sometimes it can be challenging to reach out for help, so I am so glad that you are here! I would be happy to walk alongside you and provide support as you navigate your particular challenge or struggle. So many different circumstances exist that can cause us to struggle: stress, life transitions, relational challenges, unresolved issues from the past, feeling stuck, or knowing that you want to make some changes but feeling uncertainty about where to start. Counseling can be a great place to find support and get help with figuring out what changes you want to make and how to go about them.
ABOUT ME
I have had the privilege of working with children, adults, and families in the mental health field for the past 15 years. I enjoy building supportive relationships with my clients and helping them to navigate life’s challenges. I utilize an integrative, strength-based approach pulling from a variety of techniques and interventions to help empower my clients in working through life’s transitions and challenges. My approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.
In my work with clients, I establish a safe, non-judgmental space to reflect on and process challenges in order to achieve the treatment goals we set collaboratively. I enjoy helping support clients achieve their personal version of wellness and stability in their lives.
I look forward to working with you!

EXPERIENCE
I have experience and training in a number of evidence-based and informed practices including Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Attachment & Biobehavioral Catch-up, Circle of Security Parenting Program, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Multisystemic Therapy. I have a particular passion for working with women on issues unique to them such as pregnancy, infertility/miscarriage, the perinatal/postpartum periods, and finding balance and coping with the stress or overwhelm of motherhood. I have specialized training in infant and early childhood mental health, so I also enjoy work involving parenting challenges and the parent-child relationship. Parenting is hard, but it can also be one of the most rewarding experiences!

SPECIAL NOTE ON PARENTING
Parenting. Is. Hard.
Although it can be extremely rewarding, parenting is one of the toughest jobs on the planet as you are responsible for the physical, emotional, and mental development of another human being. Sometimes, circumstances from your past or present can make parenting and how you relate to your child extra challenging. Counseling can provide a safe space to:
-
Process the wide variety of emotions that parenting can evoke.
-
Discuss tough parenting moments and learn new strategies to address them.
-
Receive developmental guidance.
-
Learn new strategies to improve family functioning.
